14th November is the B’day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru – the first prime minister of India who loved the children very much and they too, in turn loved him greatly calling him ‘Chachaji’. It’s the quote of Chacha Nehru – ‘When I want to know the future of India, I look not at the stars and planets, but into the eyes that are bright and full of joy, and realize that the future of India is safe. On the contrary, if they are full of tears and despair, there’s no future for India’. Such was the hope he placed on children.
School life is a precious part of Children’s life. So, like every school, St. Xavier’s too holds 14th November a memorable one in children’s life. Filled with fun and frolic, they became the center of attraction for all and the staff and students equally share some lighter moments and everyone is found at gay while munching some sweets, playing some games and entering into the house-wise competition on dramatization etc. Thus the day is ended, enshrining in their hearts some sweet memories of the day.
